AT VOLVIC, OUR ORGANIC INFUSIONS RANGE USES THE EARTHS NATURAL FLAVOURS
When you refresh yourself with a delicious bottle of Volvic Infusion Bio, you can savour the taste knowing that it’s been made using ingredients grown and sourced in a way that's sympathetic to the environment of Verbena it originates in.
BUT WHY CAN WE CALL OUR TEA BIO CERTIFIED’? BECAUSE OF ITS:
And we don’t stop there. Most of our tea leaves are harvested manually – except for matcha, which has a different process that makes hand-picking less relevant – which ensures high quality while minimising damage to the trees, and we dry tea leaves and hibiscus flowers naturally using only the power of the sun. Tea plantations we work with respect the cycle of nature between each picking, and we wait for hibiscus flowers to open before picking them. We irrigate our soils using only natural rainwater.
The origin of our ingredients matters, too. For example, our matcha and green tea comes from a unique site in Japan where tradition meets technology and where organic tea cultivation has been pioneered for 130 years.
For verbena, Morocco 99% of tea workers are shareholders. The plantation practices traditional and sustainable agricultural practices and is family-owned. All this contributes towards a positive social impact and benefits the local economic network.
Tea fermentation, drying, sieving and sterilisation all happens on the plantation where it’s grown, while infusions are made locally, just 40km from Volvic’s source. The Infusion process is happening at HerbalT, which is 40 min away from Volvic site.
Whether it’s mint from Morocco, lime from Mexico or peach from Spain, our ingredients all have one thing in common.
They’re transported to Europe from all over the world by boat, keeping their carbon footprint to a minimum.
Whichever your flavour of choice, we’re sure you’ll agree that it feels good to sip a bottle of Volvic Infusion Bio knowing that we’ve made it doing everything we can to do right by the planet.
