It’s always been the case that when you sip a bottle of Volvic natural spring water, you’re helping us to protect and care for the fragile ecosystem that created it. Sustainability is a subject close to our hearts, so we believe in doing our bit to preserve the environment. It’s why we’ve led the way with things like using recycled materials to make our bottles.
So what exactly does ‘B Corp™’ mean, and what does it take to become certified?
‘B Corp™’ is shorthand for ‘Certified B Corporation™’, an organisation that’s part of a global movement dedicated to using business as a force for good. B Corps™ take the lead in doing business responsibly and meaningfully, always considering the impact of their decisions on everyone and everything they come into contact with: their workers, customers, suppliers, community and the environment.

Like the other businesses in the B Corp™ community, we’ve had every area of our organisation intensively assessed and met a minimum verified score. It’s up on the B Corp™ website for all to see. What’s more, if you were to read through our legal governing documents, you’d find our commitment to balancing profit with purpose right there, set in stone.
For us, our B Corp™ certification is simply a way of confirming what we were already doing. We’ve always taken responsibility for our actions by helping to preserve Volvic’s water source, investing in local projects and promoting local employment. The environment has always taken centre stage in our decision-making and we’ve always taken steps to improve how we do business. The only difference is that now, it’s written into our mission statement that as an organisation, we’re making a positive impact on the world around us.
